Call for applications for largest competition for communication professionals in Baltics Mi:t&Links 2024

Starting from Monday, January 22, the largest Baltic competition for communication professionals Mi:t&Links 2024 is open for applications. A new category has been included this year, Environment, Social and Corporate Governance communication, pointing at a new and topical area in the operations of companies, Antra Bork-Rzecicka, the president of the Latvian Communications Association (LaKA) and Public ID board member, informed.

According to the LaKA president, along with the competition for awards, the event is also a chance to learn from the best, increasing the sector’s professional standards every year. One of the tasks of the competition also is to draw attention to what is important for society, business, public administration and so forth, as these changes affect the communication sector and professionals.

“Over the years, the number of categories in the competition has increased. For example, Employer Branding, Digital, Visual and Influencer/Opinion Leader communication and others have become permanent categories. As the Environment, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) has become a topical issue, especially in the context of the European Union directive, expanding the range of companies who must submit these reports, we see that there can be campaigns to learn from,” said Bork-Rzecicka.

The competition for Baltic communication professionals, organized by the Latvian Communication Association, has been held for almost 20 years with the best of the best competing for the jury’s assessment and the title of the Agency of the Year in its country and the Baltic states.

The competition is open by companies, agencies, government institutions and non-government organizations, as well as individual specialists from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and other European countries.

The Early Bird period will be open from January 22 until February 7, 15:59. Then, from February 7, 16:00, until March 7, 15:59, the Regular application period will be open. From March 7, 16:00, until March 21, 16:00, the Late Entry period will be open.

The applications submitted for the competition will be evaluated by an international jury that will shortlist five candidates in each category. The authors of these campaigns will present them to the jury and other audiences online on April 18, 2024.

“This is one of the features that makes Mi:t&Links. Baltic Communication Awards special – that we have preserved these presentations as they help the jury and the audience to look deeper into the campaigns, and ask different, including uneasy, questions. It is a great exercise for every professional,” said Bork-Rzecicka.

Mi:t&Links. Baltic Communication Awards 2024 winners will be announced in an on-site ceremony on April 19, 2024.

All campaigns submitted for the competition should be implemented until December 31, 2023. Categories Issue and Crisis and Storytelling accept campaigns implemented in a period from January 1, 2019, until December 31, 2023, if they had not been submitted before.
